Preschool/Pre-K Full Day Classes
3 & 4 year olds ► 6:30am – 6:30pm
Our three and four year old classes incorporated into a full day under the protected care of the most qualified, educated, and experienced staff in Carroll County. Our primary teachers all have BS degrees in education. Our core lessons are developed using the InvestiGator Club and our own personal curriculum that is divided into math, science, language arts, social studies, and phonemic awareness (fundations). We also teach Spanish and Sign Language. The children’s daily needs for love, nurturing, safety, health, and nutrition are fully met each day in a loving home environment.
Preschool/Pre-K Half Day Classes
3 & 4 year olds ► 9:30am – 12:30pm OR 3 year olds 1:00pm – 4:00pm
Our preschool teachers hold BS degrees in Early Childhood Education. Our astounding curriculum interrelates art, music, language, social studies, phonemic awareness, Spanish, Sign Language, and Social consciousness into a fun packed day full of age appropriate incidental and teacher directed learning that instills a love of learning and amazing social and emotional skills in our children. With an emphasis on play and a respect for their inert quest for knowledge, Little People’s Place offers an amazing variety of learning centers, learning tools, and activities to stimulate the students’ learning potential based on their individual interests and talents. Portfolios, progress reports, and parent/teacher conferences enrich the parent/teacher relationship and therefore the quality of the educational experience. This curriculum meets all the needs of our preschooler- social, emotional, physical, and academic.
Toddler Classes
14 months- 2 year olds ► 6:30am – 6:30pm
Toddler teachers strive to provide love, security and safety to each and every child based on individual personalities. At the same time, children are introduced to mathematical concepts, science and nature, language development, social consciousness, Spanish, sign language, and phonemic awareness. Our curriculum incorporates art, music, dramatic play, and creative movement. Most importantly, your little one will learn he/she is the most precious human being in the whole world. Our greatest goal is to give our students strong self concepts and lots of love in a family atmosphere.
Enrichment Classes
3 & 4 year olds ► 9:30am – 4:00pm daily
These classes for 3 and 4 year olds are specifically designed to totally prepare preschoolers for full day kindergarten by offering children the ideal opportunity of combining a loving, nurturing environment with the most cutting edge curriculum created to meet every child’s individual needs academically, emotionally, socially and physically. Sharing 2 snacks, packing lunch, having tons of free play, and still experiencing the most spectacular daily curriculum that is both accumulative and repetitive through the week, gives the enriched preschooler the best of both worlds, education and tons of fun. The perfect way to describe the difference between our half day classes and our enrichment classes is to explain that baking cookies in our half day classes we use permed dough but in our enrichment classes we start from scratch because we have more time to teach each lesson. The 5 senses and the scientific method play an interracial part in all aspects of daily activities. We are most excited and proud of this scientifically based curriculum alternative and believe that this concept is the wave of the future in preschool.
School Age Classes
5-10 year olds ► 6:30am – 6:30pm daily
We continue to provide the best possible love and care for our children when they attend elementary school. Our care includes before and after school, full day care on days schools are closed, homework assistance, and supervised play. Activities are specifically designed to meet children’s need for a homelike, comfortable environment with plenty of space indoors and outdoors, and age appropriate games, toys, books, puzzles, computers, research materials, curriculum and physical activity. Teachers are specifically trained in elementary education.
Summer Camp
All Ages — June through August — 6:30 to 6:30 daily —
Summer Camp is awesome. The same quality, experienced, and loving staff continue to provide the most exceptional care for your child in a carnival atmosphere that makes summer time at Little People’s Place a vacation spot every day. Weekly events that include guest performances, story telling, water activities, sports and neighborhood explorations, and field trips- one or two times a week based on the age of your school age child, are just the special events added to our daily schedule. Plus, our teachers include “bridge work” to maintain brain activity that reviews previous learning so our children don’t forget what they have learned. It’s the greatest combination of summer fun and education yet, another new concept created through the experience and education of the staff and the families we serve.
